Academics
An individualised, self-paced, Bible-based programme that takes every learner from Pre-School to Grade 12, one mastered concept at a time.
Vine International Christian Academy (VICA) follows the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, an individualised, self-paced, biblically based programme. Learners embark on a journey of self-learning and goal setting as they work through each PACE (Packet of Accelerated Christian Education), covering school subjects.
Four principles guide how every learner at VICA is taught.
Each student has a private learning area (office) and works through a full scope and sequence of curriculum with one-on-one assistance.
Each subject is approached from a sound Biblical standpoint, acknowledging in every area the authority of the Creator in His Creation.
Advancement is earned only through mastery of concepts, so each learner builds on a solid foundation.
A diagnostic test establishes each learner’s level in every subject, so the right academic prescription can be set.
Core subjects for every learner, with enrichment and option courses from Level 8.

To be a success, a student must learn not only how to make a living, but also how to live.
The chief distinction of the ACE curriculum. Wisdom is the highest of the three dimensions of life: a Godly, value-based, conscious response to reality.
A carefully formulated scope and sequence introduces concrete and abstract reasoning at appropriate developmental levels, focusing on the ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’ and ‘when’.
After entering adolescence, students expand their learning to the abstract or cognitive reasoning level, focusing on ‘why’ and ‘how’.
VICA is accredited by Christian Education Europe (CEE) Ltd under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of the United Kingdom.
As they progress, students are awarded the International Certificate of Christian Education (ICCE), a qualification recognised by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in the UK and internationally.
VICA was founded and is established on biblical principles. Teachers (Supervisors) are helped by assistants (Monitors) to give a small number of children individualised attention and support in the Learning Centres. VICA seeks to:
Vine International Christian Academy admits students with average and above average abilities.
We unfortunately do not yet have staff trained in attending to learners with special needs. We are therefore currently unable to admit learners with learning disabilities.
To be admitted to grades 1 to 8, (between 4 and 11 years of age) all students must take a diagnostic test to ascertain their level of performance in the various subjects.
The school requires that a parent and student be part of a Christian church as evidence that the parents are also actively working toward the Christian training of the child.
Students and Parents are expected to attend a Bible-believing church regularly.
